Since you are a student, you can get free, full-featured access to AMPL — and popular solvers — by installing our [AMPL Community Edition for Academia](https://ampl.com/free-licences-for-academia/).

AMPL has a powerful Python API, [amplpy](https://ampl.com/python/), for embedding optimization models into Python applications. All versions of AMPL include full access to amplpy.
