Hi all,

I am new to AMPL. I am trying to install it on a virtual machine with no access to open internet. Since the cloud license needs an internet connection, I want to whitelist the specific domains/ip addresses the software tries to access. Can someone point me to what domains and/or ports I should whitelist? Thank you,

Amir

I think I have resolved this by manually generating a .lic file using the provided UUID and machine fingerprint and then using the offline activation button. For some reason the AMPL installer does not recognize the whitelisted domain ([AMPL.com](http://AMPL.com)), but I can send a REST request through R to achieve the same. Seemed to be a system specific configuration issue. If this is not the way to do it, please let me know!

Hi @amir1995,

Whitelisting [ampl.com](http://ampl.com) and [portal.ampl.com](http://portal.ampl.com) should be enough to get the license to work. Additional endpoints are available for redundancy, but they are typically only required in critical applications
