Failed to start ampl session

I have been trying to get AMPL running on my Mac M2, but I keep hitting an error:

RuntimeError: Failed to start ampl session

The environment settings look correct, but when it tries to execute the file, I get this: cannot execute binary file.

I downloaded the Linux 64-bit version, thinking it would work, and even tried deleting and reinstalling a few times, but no luck so far.

Any ideas on what might be going wrong? Is this possibly a compatibility issue with the Linux version on macOS? There is only 2 options to download from: Linux 64 or Windows64

Thank you for reaching out. Are you using a course bundle? For macOS there are no time-limited bundles anymore. You need to use the macOS installer from Option 1 in the bundle download page and you need to use to the course UUID to activate the license.
