I just wanted to know if there is any known issue with the community edition of AMPL.
We are a class of 15 students and many of us have the same problem: as soon as we open amplide.exe the app crashes (application is not responding). Both with windows and mac.

Hi Stefano,
AMPL Community Edition must maintain an internet connection for license validation. Please make sure you are connected to the internet and that ampl.exe was not blocked by an application, such as an antivirus.
If you still experience the same issues I’ll ask you to send us the log file of AMPL IDE. It’s locatted in:
- Windows: ~\AppData\Local\amplide.metadata.log
- Linux: ~/.config/amplide/.metadata/.log
- OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/amplide/.metadata/.log
Note that files/folders with the . are hidden, you will have to change the visibility options to access them.
