offline / HPC-compatible Community Edition or academic license

Hello,

I am trying to run AMPL with the Community Edition license on a university HPC cluster using Slurm.

AMPL works on the login node, but when the job runs on a compute node, I get:

“Short term lease expired. Please make sure your internet connection is working in order to renew the license.”

The compute nodes appear not to have internet access, so the AMPL CE license cannot renew there.

Could you provide guidance on using AMPL Community Edition or an academic license in an offline HPC/Slurm environment?

The Community Edition or the regular Academic’s licenses do not work offline.

We offer some custom cluster licenses for this kind of cases, feel free to reach out to licensing@ampl.com to ask about them.
